Yesterday, Headlines Today said the following in their channel (this was not a comment by somebody, this was what the channel said)…

“The judgment sounds harsh given the fact that Sanjay is the man who popularized Gandhi amongst youth”

WHAT??

Firstly, MunnaBhai 2 didn’t “aim” at popularizing Gandhi.

Secondly, Sanjay “acted” in that movie and his job was just that – acting.

The emotional fervor that our News Channels are exhibiting when delivering news is alarming. What is the point in playing “Pal Pal Pal Pal Ek Pal Ek Pal” or Saajan’s songs in the background when news about Sanjay’s verdict is delivered?

Intelligence and idiocy…
