Climate change ‘journey’ starts now

As the US starts to resettle people from some areas affected by climate change, their journey starts now. What about the rest?

On the eve of COP21 conference on climate change at Paris last year, FT reported:

Privately, EU officials acknowledge the Obama administration is eager for a deal in Paris, but not one containing new, legally binding measures because these would strengthen arguments that the agreement needs approval from a hostile US Senate, which must ratify all treaties.
(From the article by Demetri Sevastopulo & Pilita Clark for Financial Times – http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/79daf872-8894-11e5-90de-f44762bf9896.html#ixzz47aIqYRE4)

Isn’t it hypocritical of the US to start the journey for its own people while being the main reason for non-binding status of agreement reached at COP21 conference last year? While these are played out onerously, it most certainly is too little too late.
